Previously NMS was known as the Medical Council of India (MCI). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">On pages number 6, 7 and 8, it has mentioned the selection criteria of journals. It states that publications made in journals included in Medline, Pubmed Central, <span style=\"background-color:#ffbfb5\" class=\"td_text_highlight_marker\">Citation index, Sciences Citation Index, Expanded Embase,<\/span> Scopus, Directory of Open access journals (DoAJ) will only be considered for the purpose of promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-is-wrong-with-expanded-embase\" style=\"font-size:20px\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_wrong_with_Expanded_Embase\"><\/span><strong>What is wrong with Expanded Embase?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing is wrong. The name of this indexing agency is <span style=\"background-color:#b5dcaf\" class=\"td_text_highlight_marker\">Emabase<\/span>, not Expanded Embase. In addition, <span style=\"background-color:#ffbfb5\" class=\"td_text_highlight_marker\">Citation Index <\/span>and <span style=\"background-color:#ffbfb5\" class=\"td_text_highlight_marker\">Science Citation index<\/span> were also miswritten. The corrected names are: Medline, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index, Science Citation Index Expanded, Embase, Scopus, Directory of Open Access Journals (DoAJ).
