Abstract

  Obesity is a clinical condition characterized by increased body mass index beyond 30 kg /m2 that measures  the distribution of body fat components more precisely,  recent consideration on body fatty tissue index is waist circumference that exactly meters bodily adipocyte status which seems responsible to release various cytokines, the anticipated  culprits contributing  to  development of insulin resistance and thus act as triggering factor  to exacerbate type- 2 diabetes mellitus.

 

This review focuses on  the  obesity- linked  type- 2 diabetes, conventional management and newly discovered remedial measures to control  the  obesity and diabetes as a whole.
